Easy Christmas Tree Card

You girls have to try this one! So easy!  You just need  3x3, 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, 2x2, and a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2" to make the tree.  Fold into triangle, open and fold into a triangle the opposite way. Open and pinch sides to make a flat triangle.  Fold down flaps-repeat for each layer then put a dab on Tombo and insert each point into the bottom of the next.

Distressing the edges before assembly makes the tree look more vintage

Build your card base however you'd like and you can go crazy or simple if you wanna decorate the tree
Play around and HAVE FUN!

This music note card I just copied on cardstock from my old hymns. I picked Crown Him with Many Crowns, but a Christmas hymn is certainly appropriate!
and NOW I see my little backing off my dimensional! grrr

Ok this is the only tree that has a trunk! lol
Betcha didn't even notice!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper?
I tried the triangles going the other way but do not like it. This maybe a happy mistake, because I believe I will try an upside down Christmas tree card!

and of course the Shutter Card! Which I LOVE to make!

Buzy Time of Year!

I can't believe how fast this month is flying by!  I am the master procrastinator, so I kicked it into high gear trying to make some different Christmas cards and ornaments! Yes..I'm the last minute person!

What to do with that little Sizzlits Merry Detail's Snowflake?
Fold in half and make a  tree!

I am loving our Christmas DSP

Bling it up anyway you want! Red rhinestones and pearls would be so cute! I woulda put a star on top but don't have a punch yet!

Craft room disaster!

I don't know how it happens, but after I do a card OR any crafting thing, my craft table ends up looking like a F-5 went through it! Sooo bad!
I haven't taken any pics of my current creations because I don't even have a pretty space to do it in! lol!
Judge for yourself!!!
 My work in progress...

 The disaster...

Soo need to get organized! IKEA??? Here we come! lol!!!

Going to Women of Faith Fri-Sun so excited! Hoping to come back refreshed and rested!
I'll keep ya'll posted!
For now I have a project for you.  There is a little  boy named Nathan Norman who lives in VA and is battling brain cancer.  His family is celebrating Christmas right now! The neighbors have put up their Christmas lights and decorations too everybody in their town is trying to get in the spirit.  I found out about him through another Stampin' Up demonstrator.

If you can make a card or send a card to him now for Christmas--give him some cheer and prayer, that would be awesome!!

First Project-Christmas Ornament

Now Realize, I am totally winging it here!  Just got my kit in, and FYI I am in LOVE with the new ink pads! Foam is the way to go people!
Hard to tell in the pic, the shimmery from the glitter--
I omitted  the bakers twine, didn't like it but think I'm gonna make more with tinsel instead of twine, and maybe some lace for a vintage look.
I was on a roll and decided to make a pumpkin while I was at it.  I went outside to collect leaves so I could trace and make paper leaves for the pumpkin and use the rest for my display.
Hope ya'll enjoy!
Kari

Stampin' Up Here I Come!

Ladies, I am officially a Stampin' Up convert!

I have let go of Creative Memories to embrace a brand new, exciting and super fun hobby!  Paper Crafting!
Stay tuned for some pics!  Kit comes in this week!

HEYYYYY  I'm so excited to tell ya'll that my new Stampin' Up Kit has already shipped and is on its way from Utah!
For those of you who don't know...I did Creative Memories for a very long time, and have converted to Stampin' Up because I fell in love with the art of paper crafting. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Stampin' Up designer series paper and that I can use ALL of their product to continue with my scrap booking! It's a win win situation...not just for me but for you!!

What brought me to Stampin' Up over just shopping at my local craft store is that ALL of the paper, ink, stamps, punches, die cuts, ribbon, EVERYTHING color coordinates!
No way you can make an ugly card!  They carry fabric now and have a whole digital online studio where the possibilities are endless! I am hooked!  Anything you could ever dream of is all in one place and all the guesswork is gone! So now I can get down to the fun stuff...crafting!

So all you scrap bookers who are afraid of Stamping and paper crafting--Don't be! Look at it as an extension of what you already are doing. You'll be glad you made the leap!  When you choose to jump please remember to get in touch with me:)) I Would love to work with you!

I know a lot of you former scrap booker's felt like me...very overwhelmed with what to do. I'd go into the stamp store and be blown away by all of the choices! Which paper should I use, what card stock goes with what pretty paper and what color ribbon should I use? The list is eternal and my mind was full of questions!

Stampin' Up let's me enjoy crafting without all the hassle and worries!

If you'd like to see what stampin' up is all about you can go to their website:

Just in time for you all to make for Christmas!
